Prospective students are best served by the application form — it asks for exactly what is needed and reaches Dr Hewitt directly. For everything else, email is the fastest route.

Applying to the lab?
Use the application form rather than a cold email. It asks for the documents your track actually needs and records which research areas overlap with your training, which is the first thing Dr Hewitt looks at.
Schools and community groups
We host class tours and high school placements year-round. No formal application — tell us what interests your students and when you are free.
Media and collaboration enquiries
Email is the fastest route. For research collaboration, it helps to say which programme you have in mind — optical diagnostics, molecular holography or equity in STEMM.
